Course Registration Information


P
re-registration and payment are required for all classes. You can register by coming into the Red Cross office, or by telephone at 209-383-2150 with a VISA or Master Card.

Important: Classes fill quickly. If the class you choose is full, you will be notified by telephone. We do not mail out confirmations; if you want to confirm your class/location/time, please phone 383-2150 or enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Ways to Register
You may register in person, by mail or by phone (209) 383-2150 using a VISA or Master Charge card. 
Attendance
Please be on time; late comers may not be allowed into class.

 

Refunds
No refunds will be made for missed classes.
Prerequisites
For any course requiring prior training, you must have proof of training with you at the first class meeting (your instructor will ask to see it).
 
Missed Sessions
Due to the nature of Red Cross classes, missed sessions cannot be made up in a later class. You will need to retake the entire course.
Clothing
Wear comfortable clothing. Leave off jewelry. Lipstick, chapstick, etc should be removed before working with training manikins.
Retaking A Course
If you do not meet passing requirements, you may retake the course only once at no additional charge. The course must be retaken within one week of the original course.
 
Physical Activity
Most classes require physical activities such as frequent kneeling and moving about on the floor, and using physical effort to perform certain skills. Students must be able to perform all skills satisfactorily
 
Rescheduling a Class 
You may reschedule twice only. You will be charged a $5 transfer fee for the initial transfer and $10 for the subsequent transfer. All transfers must be completed in 90 days from your original class date.
 
Babysitting
Child Care services are not available. Guest/visitors are not permitted in the classrooms.

 

Failure to Attend
Failing to attend a class in which you are registered will result in forfeiting the fee.
Health Precautions
You should postpone participation in CPR classes if you are suffering from or have been exposed to any infection (cold, sore throat, communicable diseases) of a temporary nature, or if you have any cuts or sores (including recent tooth extraction). You may ask to use a separate CPR training manikin if you have a chronic or acute condition but are unable to postpone training.
